The Cadaveric MicroAnatomy Laboratory at the Private Applied Sciences University in Amman, Jordan has become the first centre outside Europe to receive accreditation from the UEMS Network of Accredited Skills Centres in Europe (NASCE).

The laboratory specialises in cutting-edge surgical training providing surgeons with high end hands-on experience across diverse surgical specialties.

This accreditation marks a historic expansion of the NASCE's reach outside Europe.

In an interview given to the Roya TV channel, Dr Wamid Al-Taie, the lab’s director, emphasised the significance: “This is not just a university achievement, it is a milestone for Jordan. The accreditation confirms that our lab meets the highest European standards and enables our doctors to collaborate directly with European peers.”

Indeed, the NASCE accreditation of the Microanatomy Laboratory creates new opportunities for international collaboration.
Thanks to NASCE yearly conference bringing together all accredited centres in Europe, Jordanian doctors will have the possibility to learn about and share their own programs and researches with doctors from all across Europe.
